In the early hours of January 1, 2025, Sulphur Springs police responded to reports of a fight involving several individuals in the 700 block of Calvert Street. Officers arrived on the scene just before 3:30 AM and encountered Creston Weatherall, who was standing outside and shouting profanities near residences he was not authorized to be at.
Witnesses at the scene identified Weatherall as a key participant in the altercation that had spilled into public view. Due to his aggressive behavior, officers detained Weatherall for the safety of those present and transported him to the Hopkins County Jail.
While being processed, it was revealed that Weatherall had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a prior case. He was subsequently booked on charges of disorderly conduct and failure to appear.
