The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into an early morning shooting that occurred in the Harrison County portion of the Ore City/Lazy Lakes area. Emergency Medical Services (EMS), along with units from the Upshur County Sheriff's Office and Harrison County Sheriff's Office, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered Jeremy Vick, aged 35, with gunshot wounds and immediately commenced medical treatment. Vick was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Presently, Harrison County deputies and investigators are actively probing the incident as a homicide. Further information regarding the case will be disclosed to the public as it becomes available.
