Four Arrests Made in Prosper Following Flock Camera Alerts

Prosper Police Officers have made four arrests in recent days thanks to their Flock camera system, which assisted in identifying suspects and vehicles linked to various criminal offenses. Below are the detailed accounts of the arrests:

Stolen Vehicle and Drug Arrest (November 20, 2024)
On November 20th, 2024, Prosper Police were alerted to a stolen vehicle entering town via a Flock camera notification. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, a non-resident of Prosper, was detained while officers confirmed the vehicle was stolen out of Lewisville. During the investigation, officers discovered the driver had three active warrants for various charges. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. The driver was arrested on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance (1g-4g), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The driver was also held on the outstanding warrants.

Family Violence Warrant Arrest (November 21, 2024)
The following day, on November 21st, officers received a Flock notification regarding a vehicle tied to an individual wanted for family violence-related charges. Officers tracked the vehicle to a local area and made contact with the driver, confirming the individual was indeed the person with the outstanding warrant. Further investigation revealed that the driver also had two additional traffic-related warrants from Southlake. The driver was arrested and taken to Collin County Jail for processing.

Criminal Mischief and Drug Paraphernalia (November 21, 2024)
On the same day, Prosper Police received another Flock notification for a vehicle related to an individual with an outstanding criminal mischief warrant. Officers located the vehicle parked at a business, set up surveillance, and waited for the driver to return. Once the driver entered the vehicle, officers approached and confirmed the individual was the subject with the outstanding warrant. During the investigation, the driver admitted to having a methamphetamine pipe in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered the pipe, and the driver was arrested for the warrant and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hit-and-Run and Drug Arrest (November 25, 2024)
On November 25th, Prosper Police received a Flock notification for a vehicle connected to a subject wanted for a hit-and-run collision. Officers located the vehicle as it pulled into the parking lot of a local business. They contacted the driver, a non-resident, and confirmed the outstanding hit-and-run warrant. During the investigation, officers discovered the driver’s license was suspended. Officers also noticed the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search revealed a small amount of marijuana inside. The driver was arrested for the outstanding warrant, Driving While License Suspended (with prior convictions), and Possession of Marijuana (<2oz).
