The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatality accident that occurred early morning of February 10 along the southbound lanes of I35E near Mockingbird Lane.
Deputies arrived just after 3:00am to find an SUV and a pickup truck involved in a crash. Dallas Fire Rescue transported the driver of the SUV to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported by paramedics to a local hospital in critical condition. Police determined this driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. They have been arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
The highway was reopened at 5:41am.
