On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on the 500 block of East Kirby in Quinlan. The operation, part of an ongoing investigation into illegal narcotics distribution in Hunt County, led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of drugs and stolen items.
Investigators recovered 626 grams of Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 84 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, prescription medications, and 2 ounces of marijuana. In addition to the drugs, officers found over $1,000 worth of stolen merchandise, a stolen checkbook, and various items containing stolen identification information.
Samuel Thurston Davis, 37, of Greenville, was arrested during the operation. He faces charges for the Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, exceeding 400 grams. Davis is currently being held at the Hunt County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash or surety bond, with additional charges expected.
