The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Game Wardens, DPS, West Tawakoni Fire, Cash Fire Rescue, and Hunt County Constable joined forces in a coordinated search and rescue operation.

The search began after the 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female were reported missing earlier today. Their last known location was near CR 3521, and they had been seen approximately three hours prior. Fearing for their safety, authorities swiftly mobilized resources, including requesting the assistance of the DPS 101 helicopter.

Shortly after the DPS 101 helicopter was launched, the missing teens were located, ending the search on a positive note. While the exact details of their discovery remain undisclosed, the successful rescue highlights the commitment and collaboration among the multiple departments and agencies involved.

As the investigation continues, authorities will work to determine the circumstances surrounding the teens' disappearance and their subsequent safe recovery. The incident serves as a reminder for individuals engaging in water activities to prioritize safety and adhere to guidelines to prevent similar incidents in the future.
