Winnsboro Police Arrest Wanted Felon on Drug Charges and Terroristic Threats Against Peace Officers

Winnsboro Police Department along with the assistance of the Wood County Sheriff's Office conducted a felony warrant service on a Winnsboro resident on June 7, 2023.

After obtaining 2 felony warrants for Terroristic Threat of a Peace Officer, Winnsboro Police Department officers went to a location at the 400 block of S. Mill St. where the wanted subject was known to frequent and saw him in a vehicle in the front of the residence.

The officers, along with 3 Wood County S.O. deputies converged on the location and placed Eual Eldon "Trey" Hayes in custody after a brief struggle. Located on the wanted subject was a loaded semi-automatic pistol as well as a controlled substance. A subsequent search of the vehicle the wanted subject was located in found an additional loaded semi-automatic pistol as well as marijuana, and dangerous drugs.

Hayes was booked in at the Wood County Sheriff's Office on the following charges:

1) TERRORISTIC THREAT AGAINST PEACE OFFICE/JUDGE (25,000.00 Surety Bond)

2) TERRORISTIC THREAT AGAINST PEACE OFFICE/JUDGE (25,000.00 Surety Bond)

3) POSS CS PG 1/1B >=1G<4G DRUG FREE ZONE WINNSBORO PD (30,000.00 Surety Bond)

4) POSS MARIJ <=2OZ DRUG FREE ZONE WINNSBORO PD (10,000.00 Surety Bond)

5) POSS DANGEROUS DRUG WINNSBORO PD (10,000.00 Surety Bond)

6) POSS DANGEROUS DRUG WINNSBORO PD (10,000.00 Surety Bond)

7) UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A WEAPON WINNSBORO PD (10,000.00 Surety Bond)

8- UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A WEAPON WINNSBORO PD (10,000.00 Surety Bond)
