On Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 6:50 p.m., Rowlett Police officers responded to an unconscious person call in the 8500 block of Seafield Ln, in Rowlett, Texas. Rowlett Police officers arrived and found a 78-year-old Rowlett resident female, Sharon Radebaugh, who had been shot inside her residence. Sharon was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Rowlett Police Criminal Investigations Division immediately began their investigation and determined this was not a random act of violence but rather an act that stemmed from a previous relationship. The murder suspect was identified as 83-year-old Elliott Wilson of Trinity, Texas.
On Sunday, June 4, at approximately 5:30 p.m., after a thorough investigation and with the assistance of the Trinity County Sheriff's Department and the Texas Rangers; the Rowlett Police Criminal Investigations Division took Elliott into custody.
Elliott admitted to shooting Sharon after a confrontation over her new relationship. This case will be filed with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office.
On Sunday, June 4, Elliott was arraigned for the Rowlett murder charge by a Trinity County
Justice of the Peace and his bond was set at $1,000,000.00.
At this time, no other arrests are pending that are connected to this investigation.
