On May 29, 2023, at approximately 5:03 pm, Longview Police Officers responded to a crash near the intersection of the 3100 block of North Eastman Road and Fourth Street.
Callie Bearden (19) from Longview was driving a white Chevrolet Sonic with one passenger at a high rate of speed traveling southbound on South Eastman Road.
The vehicle failed to stop and struck another vehicle.
The crash involved five (5) vehicles.
Callie Bearden was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Shelby Partain (32), a passenger in a silver Dodge Charger was transported to a local hospital and died from her injuries. Nine (9) other occupants were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
