Greenville Fire-Rescue is thrilled to invite residents and workers of Greenville, TX, to participate in an enlightening and hands-on experience with the launch of the Citizen's Fire Academy, commencing on September 7, 2023.
The Citizen's Fire Academy is a unique opportunity for individuals aged 18 and above to gain an in-depth understanding of the Greenville Fire Department, its organizational structure, operational methodologies, and the chance to ride along on an actual Fire Engine. The academy aims not only to educate but also to foster a sense of camaraderie between the community and its local fire service.
Participants will delve into a comprehensive curriculum that spans twelve weeks, meeting once a week for three hours, culminating in a Saturday session that promises to be both informative and engaging. The sessions are thoughtfully designed, blending classroom-style learning with practical, hands-on experiences, ensuring that participants receive a holistic view of the life of a firefighter.
