GREENVILLE, Texas - Greenville Police Officer Bryce A. Jones has been recognized for his service to the community with a 2026 Law Enforcement Officer Commendation Medal from the Sons of the American Revolution.
The Greenville Police Department announced the honor while congratulating Jones on receiving the recognition.
Jones has served with the Greenville Police Department during two separate periods. He initially joined the department Feb. 3, 2020, serving until Aug. 21 of that year.
He later joined the Forney Police Department on Jan. 11, 2021, where he served for more than two years. Jones returned to Greenville police on March 27, 2023, and has remained with the department since then.
The Law Enforcement Officer Commendation Medal is an official award of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. The organization presents the medal to law enforcement officers in recognition of exceptional community service or a distinguished record of service and dedication to law and order.
The Sons of the American Revolution is a nonprofit patriotic, historical and educational organization whose membership consists of male descendants of people who served or provided assistance during the American Revolutionary War. Local and state chapters present public service awards to recognize law enforcement officers and other first responders.
