COOPER, Texas - A 39-year-old man was arrested after Delta County deputies executing a narcotics search warrant reported finding suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia at an apartment complex.
Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant at approximately 8:32 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Highway 64.
During the search, deputies reported locating suspected methamphetamine and marijuana along with drug paraphernalia.
Authorities arrested Justin Jester, 39, of Cooper following the search. He was subsequently booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
Jester faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, Less Than One Gram; Possession of Marijuana Under Two Ounces; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Delta County Sheriff Marshall Lynch said his office will continue investigating suspected drug activity throughout the county.
“Regardless of the amount involved, illegal drugs damage families, contribute to other criminal activity, and threaten the safety and quality of life of our citizens,” Lynch said.
The sheriff also thanked residents who provide information to law enforcement about suspected illegal drug activity.
