Tyler Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Organized Prostitution Operation

TYLER, Texas - A Smith County man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of engaging in organized criminal activity by promoting prostitution.

Damian Centorian Borens was originally arrested in March 2025 following an undercover prostitution investigation conducted in Tyler.

According to prosecutors, the investigation focused on the promotion of prostitution and ultimately led to Borens being charged with engaging in organized criminal activity by promoting prostitution.

In July 2026, a Smith County jury found Borens guilty of the felony offense.

Following the guilty verdict, jurors sentenced Borens to 18 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The investigation was conducted through a multi-agency effort involving the Texas Anti-Gang Center, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Smith County Sheriff's Office and the Smith County District Attorney's Office.

The case began with an undercover operation in 2025 and concluded more than a year later with Borens' conviction and 18-year prison sentence.
