GREENVILLE, Texas - Hunt Regional Healthcare has earned Hospital Accreditation from The Joint Commission, recognizing the hospital system's compliance with nationally recognized standards for patient safety and quality of care.
The accreditation follows a rigorous, unannounced weeklong on-site survey conducted in April 2026, during which Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the healthcare system's performance across multiple operational and clinical areas.
Surveyors assessed compliance in emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, patient records, leadership, medication management, performance improvement and other key areas designed to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
Lee Boles, chief executive officer of Hunt Regional Healthcare, said the accreditation reflects the organization's commitment to continuous improvement.
"The conclusion of this on-site survey is validation for the dedication of our staff in adhering to Joint Commission's nationally developed standards," Boles said. During the survey, Joint Commission representatives conducted on-site observations and interviewed staff members to identify organizational strengths and opportunities for continued improvement.
The Joint Commission is an independent, evidence-based organization that establishes healthcare performance standards and accredits hospitals and healthcare providers across the United States.
Ken Grubbs, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer for The Joint Commission, congratulated Hunt Regional Healthcare on achieving the accreditation.
