DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas police officer has been terminated following his arrest on a family violence charge and multiple policy violations, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Police Chief Daniel Comeaux terminated Officer Armando Jaramillo during a disciplinary hearing on June 25, 2026.
According to the department, Jaramillo was fired after he allegedly assaulted a family member and was arrested by the Royse City Police Department on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence, a Class A misdemeanor.
The department also cited Jaramillo for being involved in a disturbance that required a police response and for failing to notify his chain of command after he was named in a protective order.
Jaramillo joined the Dallas Police Department in March 2022 and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division at the time of his termination.
The criminal charge remains pending. As with all criminal cases, Jaramillo is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
