Texarkana Police Search for Two Wanted for Animal Cruelty After 14 Cats Found Dead From Starvation

TEXARKANA, Texas - Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two individuals wanted on felony animal cruelty warrants after authorities discovered multiple animals dead inside a residence on Magnolia Street.

According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, Rebecca Cummings, 37, and Coty Nipper, 40, are wanted following an investigation by Animal Control officers who responded to a welfare check involving animals at the home.

Officers reported that after the pair was evicted from the residence, they allegedly left 14 cats locked inside the house for nearly a month without food or water. Authorities said all 14 cats died from starvation.

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts to contact the Texarkana Texas Police Department at 903-798-3116.
