LAVON, TX - On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Lavon police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 700 block of Wellington Drive in the Crestridge Subdivision.
According to police, a caller reported that a man had been shot following an altercation between two individuals. The suspect fled the residence on foot before officers arrived at the scene.
Officers located an adult male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police identified the suspect as a juvenile; no additional identifying information has been released due to the suspect’s age.
Investigators stated they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community. The incident remains under active investigation, and no further details are being released at this time to protect the integrity of the case.
