David Rojas Sanchez

PRINCETON, Texas—A Princeton man and registered sex offender has been convicted and sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl while she waited for her school bus.

David Sanchez, 64, was found guilty of Indecency with a Child Sexual Contact following a trial in Collin County District Court from October 6-8, 2025.

The case originated on September 3, 2024, when the Princeton Police Department was notified by the parents of a 12-year-old female regarding an incident involving their neighbor, a registered sex offender. The offense occurred while the child was waiting for the school bus.

Princeton Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division worked closely with the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), which conducted a forensic interview with the victim. Detective Scott of the Princeton Police Department subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for Sanchez, who was taken into custody on September 9, 2024.

The Princeton Police Department acknowledged the crucial roles played by the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center and the Collin County District Attorney's Office, and also thanked the concerned witnesses whose vigilance led to the report, and the brave victim who spoke up.
