Longview Police Investigate Domestic Shooting That Left Two Injured

LONGVIEW, Texas — Two men were hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday afternoon that police say stemmed from a domestic dispute between family members.

According to the Longview Police Department, officers were dispatched around 4:46 p.m. on October 7 to the intersection of Ridgecrest Drive and Dell Street following reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, one of whom had life-threatening injuries.

Both victims were treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital by Longview Fire Department paramedics. Police have not released their identities or provided updates on their conditions.

Investigators believe the incident was domestic in nature and that the people involved are related. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
