MARSHALL, Texas – The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 33-year-old Jalil Thaisawn Weathersby following a violent early morning incident on October 4, 2025, that left two people injured.
Deputies responded at approximately 5:36 a.m. to a home in Marshall after receiving reports of a burglary and multiple assaults in progress. When they arrived, they found a male and female victim, both suffering from injuries sustained during the attack.
According to investigators, the assault began while Weathersby was transporting the female victim and her child to her home. During the drive, Weathersby allegedly assaulted the woman. Once they arrived at her residence, the victim managed to escape into the home with her child.
Moments later, Weathersby forced his way inside the residence and continued the assault. During the struggle, a male resident at the home intervened and was also attacked by the suspect.
Deputies quickly obtained a description of Weathersby’s vehicle and were able to locate and arrest him shortly afterward without further incident.
Weathersby was booked into the Harrison County Jail on the following charges:

His bond has been set at $160,000. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
