ROWLETT, TX — Rowlett Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday evening, September 22, 2025, at the Walmart East on Lakeview Parkway.
Officers arrived quickly and secured the area, confirming there was no active shooter threat. Investigators said the gunfire appears to have been a targeted incident between known parties, not a random act. Several unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot were struck, but no injuries were reported.
No arrests have been made, and detectives are continuing to follow leads. Police are working with neighboring agencies and emphasized that there is no ongoing danger to the community.
