MARSHALL, TX — The Marshall Police Department (MPD) has arrested seven people following a violent disturbance at City Park on Sunday night that left two juveniles injured and blocked emergency access in the area.
Officers were called to the park at 615 Valleloma Street around 8:34 p.m. on September 14, 2025, after a fight between two juveniles escalated into a larger brawl involving adults. The gathering grew so large that it obstructed access to nearby roads, including routes to a local medical facility.
The following individuals were arrested and charged with Riot Participation (each with $50,000 bond):
-
Shameka Shonetay Randle, 45, Marshall
-
Khirgan Jani Cameron, 18, Marshall
-
Dameion Deon Redd, Jr., 26, Marshall
-
Davernious Lamar Robinson, 20, Marshall
-
Zaniyah Ijanae Gray, 18, Marshall
-
Sammya Enijahdeche Evans, 22, Jefferson
-
Diamond Mercedes Smith, 24, Marshall
Two juveniles sustained injuries during the incident. Police noted this is the second recent disturbance at City Park, following an August 31 gathering that drew noise and traffic complaints.
“Behavior like this endangers everyone involved, including innocent bystanders,” said Marshall Police Chief Cliff Carruth. “Violent gatherings in public places will not be tolerated, and those who choose to disrupt community spaces and block emergency access will be held accountable.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and police said additional arrests may follow.
