Authorities are investigating after a woman in the custody of the Harrison County Jail died Sunday, September 14.
The inmate, identified as 35-year-old Alicia Stuebenbrach, was transported to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, where she was pronounced deceased at 4:21 p.m.
Her cause of death has not yet been determined. In accordance with state law, the Texas Rangers have taken over the investigation into the in-custody death.
The case remains under investigation.
