Tyler Police Arrest Man in $21,000 Credit Card Abuse Scheme

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Tyler Police officers responded to a call at the Wal-Mart located at 3820 Hwy 64 W regarding a male subject picking up a large beverage order purchased with stolen credit cards.

Investigators identified the suspect as Israel Roque Arroyo, a 43-year-old Tyler resident, who was allegedly involved in a series of fraudulent online purchases. According to police, Arroyo had made multiple order pick-ups from several Wal-Mart locations in Tyler, all tied to stolen credit card information.

On August 28, investigators executed a search and recovered over $5,100 worth of stolen beverages from Arroyo’s residence. The total value of the thefts is estimated at more than $21,000.

Arroyo was arrested and charged with Debit/Credit Card Abuse, a State Jail Felony, and booked into the Smith County Jail.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may follow.
