PARIS, Texas – Paris Regional Health’s Internal Medicine Residency Program held its annual award ceremony to recognize the achievements of its Post-Graduate Year One (PGY-1) residents as they advance to their second year of residency.
The event also highlighted exceptional contributions from both residents and faculty during the academic year.
Outstanding Resident of the Year was awarded to Dr. Mariana Gil for her clinical skills, leadership, and commitment to patient care and medical education. Faculty of the Year went to Dr. Bielose Konwe for his dedication to mentoring residents and advancing medical education. The Resident Clinical Excellence Award was presented to Dr. Syeda Simrah Fatima for her clinical expertise, professionalism, and compassionate care.
Program Director Dr. Saji Pillai praised the honorees, noting the program’s commitment to preparing the next generation of physicians to serve communities with integrity and expertise.
