A suspicious vehicle parked behind Lake Palestine Methodist Church on Saturday, June 21, 2025, led to the arrest of a woman on multiple drug charges.
Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Montez initiated an investigation into the vehicle. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Lacey Leann Davenport of Chandler, Deputy Montez detected the odor of marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered suspected heroin and methamphetamine in Davenport’s possession.
Davenport was taken into custody and transported to the Henderson County Jail. She faces charges including two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and tampering with physical evidence. Her bond has been set at $75,000.
Sheriff Botie Hillhouse commended Deputy Montez, stating, "This case serves as a reminder of our ongoing commitment to protect the citizens of Henderson County by staying proactive in addressing drug-related activity.”
