Two Shot During Large Fight at Wright Park in Greenville; Suspect in Custody

A large fight at Wright Park in Greenville on the evening of Friday, June 13, 2025, ended with two men shot and a suspect in custody, according to the Greenville Police Department.

At approximately 7:05 p.m., officers responded to an emergency call reporting a large group of people fighting at 5403 Highway 69 South, the location of Wright Park. The caller also reported hearing gunfire during the altercation.

When officers arrived, the area of the park where the incident occurred had already been vacated. Both people and vehicles had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

As officers began their investigation, they were informed that two adult male victims had arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was later transported to a metroplex hospital for additional treatment due to the severity of his injuries.

Shortly thereafter, Greenville Police made contact with the suspected shooter, who was attempting to turn himself in. He was identified as Brian Anthony Kellogg of Greenville.  Kellogg was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm. H was released Saturday after posting the $50,000 bond.
