Four Arrested After Suspicious Death of 11-Year-Old in Wylie

Wylie Police are investigating the suspicious death of an 11-year-old boy after emergency crews responded to a call on Monday, June 9, 2025. At approximately 5:27 p.m., Wylie Police and Wylie Fire Rescue arrived at a residence in the 1600 block of Long Meadow Road following reports of an unresponsive child.

Upon arrival, medical personnel and officers found the unconscious boy and immediately initiated life-saving measures. The child was transported to a regional hospital but was later pronounced dead despite all resuscitation efforts.

Detectives from the Wylie Police Department, along with investigators assigned to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, launched a comprehensive investigation. Following further inquiries and the execution of a search warrant on June 10, detectives obtained arrest warrants for four individuals connected to the case.

Those arrested include 28-year-old Sadie Hope, 67-year-old Clifford Johnson, 46-year-old Eunice Johnson-Lightsey, and 30-year-old Sade Hope-Johnson York. All four are charged with Injury to a Child and Abandoning and Endangering a Child.

Wylie Police stated that the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as detectives continue to gather evidence.
