Ivorian National Extradited to U.S. in East Texas $14 Million Travel Agency Fraud Case

Arrest of Christian Marviv Ble

TYLER, Texas — A man accused of orchestrating a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme targeting travel agencies has been extradited to the United States to face federal charges, officials announced.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas, 39-year-old Christian Marviv Ble, a national of Côte d’Ivoire, arrived in the U.S. from France on April 21, 2026, and is currently in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

A federal grand jury indicted Ble on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud and unauthorized use of an access device.

Prosecutors allege Ble and his associates carried out an email phishing scheme targeting travel agencies. Investigators said the group sent deceptive emails posing as a company that manages airline reservations, claiming a security update required login credentials.

The emails directed victims to fake websites designed to mimic legitimate reservation portals. Once employees entered their credentials, the group allegedly used the stolen information to access real systems and book airline tickets, charging the costs to the agencies’ accounts.

Authorities said the scheme resulted in approximately $14 million in losses affecting about 430 travel agencies.

The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan Jackson. The Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs coordinated Ble’s arrest and extradition from France.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
