On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a fatal crash on State Highway 276 near FM-1565, south of Union Valley in Hunt County.
Upon arrival, troopers found a major two-vehicle collision. One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, identified as Jecobii Trevelle Moore of Mesquite, was determined to be at fault and arrested on the scene.
Moore was transported to the Hunt County Detention Center, where he was booked on a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
