During the June 3rd Sulphur Springs City Council meeting, Tyler Law was appointed as the new Mayor, and Oscar Aguilar was reappointed to serve another term as Mayor Pro Tem.
Former Mayor Harold Nash was recognized during the meeting and presented with a commemorative gavel in appreciation of his service.
Tyler Law previously served as the Council Member for Place 6 since May 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Texas A&M University in College Station.
Oscar Aguilar, who has represented Place 3 since May 2020, was first appointed Mayor Pro Tem in June 2024. He previously worked as a funeral director.
