A multi-agency manhunt is underway after a man with an active parole violation fled from police during a traffic stop on May 31, 2025, in the Tamarack Subdivision of Gun Barrel City.
At approximately 9:36 p.m., officers with the Gun Barrel City Police Department initiated a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Trailwind Street when a suspect fled on foot. He was later identified as Terrance Marshawn Carter, a Black male from Henderson, Texas, wanted for a parole violation by the Texas Pardon and Parole Board.
A perimeter was established with the help of surrounding law enforcement agencies, and K9 Aygo tracked the suspect to a creek near the 1000 Block of E Main Street. Around 3:02 a.m., a Henderson County Deputy spotted Carter along Highway 175E, but he again fled.
Shortly after, a call from the Shell Gas Station at 206 US Highway 175 in Eustace reported a man matching Carter’s description attempting to enter semi-trucks. Officers responded, and K9 units redirected to track him again. A final sighting came from a resident on South 316, who reported a man matching Carter’s description at her front door. Despite multiple searches, officers were unable to locate him.
An arrest warrant for Evading Arrest or Detention will be sought for Carter. Authorities believe he may have left the Eustace area and is heading toward Henderson.
During the investigation, police arrested Kimberly Kae Bommarito, a white female from Henderson, Texas. She faces charges of Driving While License Invalid (Class B misdemeanor), Interference with Public Duties (Class B misdemeanor), and Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution of a Known Felon (Third-degree felony).
Anyone with information on Carter’s whereabouts is urged to contact Henderson County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-545-8477 or through the P3 TIPS app. Tips may qualify for a cash reward.
The Gun Barrel City Police Department thanked the Payne Springs, Seven Points, and Mabank Police Departments, as well as the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, for their assistance.
