Man Wanted for Shooting a Mother and Daughter Captured at Texarkana Hookah Lounge After Foot Chase

Omarion Owens

A wanted 20-year-old man, Omarion Owens, was captured Thursday night after a brief foot pursuit near a local hookah lounge, one of the busiest spots in Texarkana. A reward had been offered for help locating him.

Following multiple tips, officers from both Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) and Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) converged on the lounge. Upon arrival, Owens fled on foot, leading officers on a two-block chase before being apprehended without incident.

Owens was booked into the Miller County Jail on numerous felony warrants from both TAPD and TTPD. His charges include:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury

  • Two counts of Aggravated Robbery, including one incident where shots were fired

  • Felony warrants in Arkansas for Theft of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

Owens is also connected to a March 2025 shooting in which over 60 rounds were fired into a home during the night. A mother and her 10-year-old daughter were shot while sleeping. The daughter, initially in critical condition, has since made major progress and is now recovering at home.

Authorities say all of Owens’ alleged crimes occurred within weeks of his return to Texarkana.
