Beginning May 26, 2025, Reservoir #4 will be closed to all foot traffic and departmental access to allow for a major concrete pour as part of ongoing improvements to Greenville’s water infrastructure.
The closure is expected to last between two to four weeks, depending on weather conditions. Once the concrete is poured, it will require an additional 8 to 10 days to fully cure.
City officials say the closure is necessary to ensure both safety and the integrity of the project. Reservoir #4 will remain completely inaccessible during this period.
The upgrades are part of a broader initiative to enhance the reliability and efficiency of Greenville’s water system.
