Terrell Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on Friday, April 18, 2025, in the 800 block of W Moore Ave. The stop was initiated due to a wanted person association with the vehicle.
During the stop, officers identified Chance Dakota Jeffcoat, 34, of Quinlan, Texas, who had an outstanding warrant for Burglary of a Habitation out of Hunt County. The warrant was confirmed, and Jeffcoat was taken into custody.
While performing an inventory of the vehicle before impound, officers discovered 3.77 ounces of methamphetamine, along with testosterone and alprazolam.
As a result of the methamphetamine discovery, the passenger, Dylan Romell, 40, of Elmo, Texas, was also taken into custody.
Chance Jeffcoat was arrested on the outstanding warrant and additionally charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 => 4G <200G. Jeffcoat's bond was set at $250,000.
