Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) has announced the promotion of Assistant Coach Dillon Williams to Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Williams joined the Eagles staff in August 2024.
Prior to arriving at NTCC, Williams served as a graduate assistant for Don Koontz at Texas A&M-Texarkana (TAMUT) and also coached with FC Dallas East Texas. During the 2024 fall season at NTCC, Williams assisted both the men’s and women’s soccer programs, playing a key role in strength and conditioning, as well as goalkeeper development.
Williams himself was a distinguished student-athlete and midfield leader for three of Coach Koontz’s TAMUT teams. In 2021, he was instrumental in the Eagles achieving their first-ever postseason appearance, contributing one goal and three assists from midfield. He concluded his collegiate career with three goals and three assists, again leading the team to the postseason in his senior year.
Before transitioning to coaching, Williams gained further playing experience in the U.S. Soccer professional development system with USL2 Blue Goose of Shreveport, LA.
Coach Williams has strong ties to the Northeast Texas region as a graduate of Texarkana Pleasant Grove High School, where he was a standout player for the Hawks.
