On Monday, January 6th, at approximately 3:05 PM, Tyler Police responded to a homicide at an apartment complex located at 9999 Bellwood Lake Rd in West Tyler near Bellwood Lake. Officers, detectives, and crime scene investigators arrived at the scene where they discovered a 26-year-old female, Cheyenne Russell, from Nacogdoches, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Her family has been notified.
The suspect in this case, identified as 29-year-old Jorian Jackson from Plano, has been issued a warrant for murder with a $1,000,000 bond. Jackson is believed to be traveling in a black 2010 Ford F-150 with Texas handicap plate 9PFMW and is considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Jackson's whereabouts to contact the Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 or call 911 in the event of an emergency.
This is not believed to be a random act, and the investigation is ongoing.
