Hunt County Deputies Seize Meth, THC, and Firearm in Commerce Drug Bust

On January 2, 2025, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics-related search warrant at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Greenville Street in Commerce.

The search uncovered approximately 53 grams of methamphetamine, over 100 grams of THC, a firearm, cash, and other items commonly associated with drug distribution.

Two individuals were arrested during the operation. Bryon Jerome Hines faces charges for Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group One (4–200 grams) and Penalty Group Two-2A (4–400 grams). Hines also had an outstanding warrant for a similar charge in Penalty Group One. Raven Simone Smith was taken into custody on existing traffic warrants.

Sheriff Terry Jones praised the efforts of his deputies and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office for their collaboration in this investigation and the successful execution of the warrant.
