On December 19, 2024, Henderson County deputies arrested 61-year-old Kevin Eugene Jones of Athens for possession of child porn. After a cyber-tip, an investigation into Jones' online activity was started. As a result, an arrest warrant was issued. He is charged with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography with over 50 images or videos. According to the arrest affidavit, 35 images and graphic videos with children under the age of 10 were among the items found in his electronic devices.
He remains in the Henderson County Jail on a $450,000 bond.
