The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a tornado touched down earlier today between Liverpool and Hillcrest Village, resulting in one fatality and four non-critical injuries.
Deputies remain on the scene, assisting with public safety efforts as the affected areas recover from the severe weather event. Previously closed roads in the region have now been reopened.
