On Thursday, December 26, 2024, around 8:00 AM, Longview Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 2000 block of North Eastman Road. Officers determined that a pickup truck traveling southbound struck an adult female pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road. It appears the pedestrian failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
