Texarkana Police Seek Public's Help to Locate Business Manager Accused of Stealing $18k

Jill Wright

Texarkana Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating Jill Wright, who is wanted for stealing money from her employer. Wright has been a manager at a local business since earlier this year.

She was responsible for making daily bank deposits as part of her job duties. However, it was discovered that she failed to make these deposits on several days in May. This discrepancy was reported by her supervisors, prompting Detective Warren Smith to be assigned to the case the following day.

During his investigation, Detective Smith spoke briefly with Wright on the phone a couple of weeks ago. She agreed to meet with him to discuss the situation but did not show up and has since been avoiding his calls. A subsequent financial audit revealed that nearly $18,000 was missing, leading Detective Smith to obtain a felony warrant for her arrest.

The Texarkana Police Department has been actively searching for Wright without success. They are now turning to the public for help in locating her. Anyone with information on Wright's whereabouts is urged to call the Texarkana Police Department at 903-798-3116 or 903-798-3876 after business hours.

Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to her arrest. They can be reached at 903-793-STOP.
