Texas Department of Transportation officials have announced a maintenance and erosion control project for several bridges across five counties, beginning June 2. The project, valued at over $1.7 million, will be carried out by DCC Construction and Services LLC. The contractor has been allotted 213 working days, with work expected to start on June 3 in Hopkins County and completion targeted for July 2025.

The project will focus on erosion control and concrete repairs, with daytime lane closures possible to minimize traffic disruptions.

The affected areas include portions of FM 2068 in Delta County, SH 78, SH 121, FM 896, FM 1753, FM 1553, and FM 151 in Fannin County, and US 69, US 75, US 82, SH 91, Spur 503, FM 814, FM 3133, and FM 131 in Grayson County.

In Hopkins County, sections of I-30, I-30 frontage road, FM 1567, and FM 2297, and in Lamar County, portions of FM 79, are included in the project.

Motorists are urged to heed barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce speed and avoid distractions while driving through work zones.
