Paris Police Officers responded to a reported assault on Tuesday in the 2100 block of E. Price in Paris, Texas. The victim, a family member, stated that a known suspect had assaulted him with a knife and a box cutter.
The altercation reportedly began after an argument between the victim and his girlfriend over a phone. According to the victim, the suspect then brandished a large kitchen knife and attempted to stab him.
Despite the victim's attempts to flee, the suspect continued to pursue and attack him with the knife and later with a box cutter. After the assault, the suspect fled the scene, discarding the box cutter into a nearby dumpster.
Police officers responded to the incident, checked the victim's welfare, filed a report, and located the discarded box cutter. However, the suspect remains at large, and authorities are continuing their search.
