A McKinney Police officer was injured in a collision earlier this week while responding to assist another agency with a foot pursuit. The incident occurred at the intersection of Redbud and Highway 380.
The officer's patrol car was struck by a driver who ran a red light and was found to be intoxicated.
The officer sustained a head injury and was taken to Baylor Hospital for treatment. He underwent successful surgery for his injuries.
The intoxicated driver was arrested for intoxicated assault.
