On Sunday night, May 5, at 11:00, Morris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call regarding a female who had sustained a gunshot injury at a residence on Highway 67 E in Naples.
Upon arrival, deputies arrested John Luther Betts, Jr., 62, of Naples, and charged him with Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon.
Betts was taken to Morris County Jail on a $50,000 bond. The injured woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was airlifted to Tyler for treatment of her gunshot wound.
