On December 13, 2023, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit made significant arrests after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 30. Jorge Linares and Giancarlo Linares, both residents of Florida, were taken into custody and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1.
During the traffic stop, the Hunt County Interdiction Unit utilized a K9, leading to an alert and subsequent search of the vehicle. This search uncovered a substantial amount of suspected cocaine, totaling over 50 pounds, with an estimated street value of $500,000.00.
The arrested individuals are currently being held in the Hunt County Detention Center, awaiting arraignment. The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the Greenville Police Department, specifically K9 Officer Belteton and his partner Tango, for their assistance in the search and apprehension of the suspects.
