In a bizarre incident, 35-year-old Phillip Martin Perez of Henderson, Tx was arrested on Saturday, November 25, 2023, for stealing a San Antonio Fire Department Ambulance. Police Officers were dispatched to Metro Methodist Hospital to recover a stolen EMS unit.
The incident unfolded around 5:15 am, leading to a pursuit that stretched from Bexar County into Kerr County.
According to the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, alongside the San Antonio Police Department, apprehended Perez off I-10W. A chase ensued, spanning past Boerne, until Kerr County deputies took over and successfully detained Perez. The stolen ambulance was recovered, and the accused is now facing legal consequences. Perez is charged with evading arrest. Additional charges are pending.
