In a recent development, McKinney Police Detectives acted on information suggesting the possible presence of a body in the 600 block of Pearson Ave. Securing a search warrant, detectives conducted a search at the residence of 42-year-old Chad Christopher Stevens on the morning of November 12, 2023.
During the search, the body of 35-year-old Heather Louise Schwab was discovered. Stevens was subsequently arrested at the scene and is currently facing charges of Tampering with Evidence. The investigation is still in its early stages and remains ongoing. Authorities are working diligently to gather more information and uncover the circumstances surrounding this incident.

UPDATE: The McKinney Police Department posted the following warning on social media: "To everyone who has put her name into a search engine and come up with a story about a serial squatter, we want to let you know that our murder victim is not that same person. We caution you to not spread misinformation as we have local families who are grieving and coping with this horrific situation right now."
