On Tuesday night at 10:27 PM, local law enforcement responded to a distress call at W. Washington, where Kerry Rollerson was reported to be aggressively pounding on a door, making threats to "shoot up" an apartment. Such threats typically imply a drive-by shooting scenario. Rollerson and the victim, who have been dating for several months, were at the center of this alarming incident. The victim, fearing for their safety due to Rollerson's history of threats and violent behavior, contacted the authorities.
Although Rollerson had left the scene by the time officers arrived, they remained vigilant in the area. Approximately 30 minutes later, officers apprehended Rollerson as he attempted to return to the location. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol during the arrest. Rollerson has been charged with making terrorist threats to a family member.
This isn't the first encounter law enforcement has had with Kerry Rollerson. He was previously arrested on September 9, 2023, for causing disturbances in an apartment complex. During that incident, Rollerson was intoxicated and resisted arrest. Shockingly, he assaulted one of the officers by head-butting them in the face.
In light of the recent threat, the victim has requested a protective order against Rollerson.
